The Tri-Diocesan Mobile Migrant Ministry

In 2001, the Dioceses of Youngstown, Cleveland and Columbus forged the Tri-Diocesan Mobile Migrant Ministry Collaborative to address the social, pastoral and legal needs of the Hispanic/Latino newcomers immigrating to six adjacent counties in Northeast Ohio.

Centrally located in Canton, Ohio, the Tri-Diocesan Mobile Migrant Ministry office offers leadership development, Pastoral/Conversational Spanish courses for community agencies and parishes, social policy and workplace advocacy and legal rights/detention services.

Centro San Jose/IMMIGRANT WORKER PROJECT

The Tri-Diocese Mobile Migrant Ministry is also a partner of Centro San Jose/Immigrant Worker Project, a welcome center for Hispanic/Latino immigrants, funded in part from local and national grants from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).  Centro San Jose offers a full range of services, which include English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes,  computer training courses and a micro-enterprise office.
